I know George's daughter and you people need to think about the family of the man who lost his life before you post such disrespectful conments. He was a father, a husband, a grandfather, a brother, and a friend. Have some respect.   more ›

A friend of mine was northbound on Quince Orchard Road (MD 124) and waiting for the light at Bank Street. She got the green and was beginning to roll when her Camry was nearly hit by the bus. Then she called to say that she was nearly killed, which prompted me to go …   more ›

GoTo Mom: When to Let Kids Walk to School On Their Own

Our neighborhood seems safe, and my second grader is dying to walk to school on her own. But no one around me allows their kids to walk to school unattended. When should parents let go and allow children to walk around on their own?
