Police: Suspect was 'yelling and acting erratically' before stabbing.

Update: 1:10 p.m., March 14: A 24-year-old male was charged with second-degree assault with a weapon after police said he stabbed a man while boarding a Ride On bus Wednesday evening at the Shady Grove Metro station, a county police spokesperson said. Mustapha Bamba, of an unconfirmed address, used a pocket knife to stab a 21-year-old man in the leg following an argument, Officer Rebecca Innocenti said. Police were called to the Metro station at 5:41 p.m. and the victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries, she said. Gaithersburg Police Seek Help ID'ing Suspects in Parking Lot Stabbings

Detectives are investigating assaults in the Olde Towne Gaithersburg area on Dec. 16, 2012.

Gaithersburg police are seeking help from the public in identifying three potential suspects in a Dec. 16, 2012 aggravated assault in Olde Towne. At 2 a.m. on Dec. 16, an officer patrolling the 200 block of East Diamond Avenue was stopped by a citizen who stated he was stabbed by a group of unknown males, police said. As the officer was investigating, a call was dispatched for a second victim who was stabbed in the area of Brookes and Park Avenue.  Police said the incident took place in the parking lot area of Mi Pueblitos Restaurant, located at 6 North Summit Avenue. The three suspects are described as Hispanic males, age 25-30, between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, police said, adding they were all believed to be in the …

Gaithersburg Police Investigate Two Olde Towne Stabbings

Two men were stabbed in Olde Towne Gaithersburg early Sunday, police said.

The Gaithersburg Police Department is investigating an aggravated assault that occurred early Sunday in the Olde Towne Gaithersburg area. Police said a citizen flagged down an officer patrolling in the 200 block of East Diamond Avenue at approximately 2 a.m. and stated that he was stabbed by a group of unknown males. As police investigated the incident, a call was dispatched for a second victim who was stabbed in the area of Brookes Avenue and Park Avenue, police said. Both victims sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals. Suspect Sought In Wednesday Morning Attempted Armed Robbery

Gaithersburg police are looking for a man in connection to a stabbing in the 100 block of Gold Kettle Drive on Wednesday morning.

Gaithersburg police are investigating a stabbing that occurred at approximately 7:25 a.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of Gold Kettle Drive. According to police, the female victim was in her vehicle preparing to leave when an unknown Hispanic male approached on the passenger side and engaged her in conversation. The suspect proceeded to walk around to the driver side door, opened it and demanded property. A struggle ensued and the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim, police said. The suspect fled the scene on a bicycle in an unknown direction and the victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, age 35-37, between 5 feet and 5 feet 1 inch tall, …

Person Stabbed During Robbery

Police do not yet have anyone in custody.

One person suffered non-life-threatening injuries tonight after being stabbed during a robbery on Nina Court in Gaithersburg, police said. Montgomery County Police confirm that the victim was stabbed shortly before 8:30 this evening in the unit block of Nina Court. The stabbing happened during a robbery, police said, and no one is yet in custody. Assistant Chief Scott Graham, a spokesman for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue service, said EMS crews responded to the stabbing, but he could offer no information on the condition of the victim. Update: Arrest Made In Stabbing Near Rt. 28 and Quince Orchard Road

An 18-year-old is in custody, and police have a warrant for another suspect.

Update: Police have arrested one man and have a warrant for another in the stabbing of a 17-year-old last week, authorities said. Shane R-Kill Dove, 18, of an unconfirmed address, has been arrested and charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, first-degree assault, and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, according to police. Online court records show an address for Dove in the 700 block of Westside Drive in Gaithersburg. He is being held on $250,000 bond. No attorney is listed. Officer Rebecca Innocenti, a spokeswoman for Montgomery County Police, said a warrant has been issued for a second suspect in the stabbing, which occurred Jan. 4 near the intersection of Route 28 and Quince Orchard Drive. Suburban Hospital Victim Died From Stab Wounds

Preliminary results of autopsy confirm Roosevelt Brockington Jr.'s death a homicide due to stab wounds.

Update, Jan. 3, 9:50 a.m.: Preliminary results of the autopsy of Roosevelt Brockington, Jr., a Suburban Hospital employee, confirm that he died from stab wounds, according to Montgomery County police. Detectives believe that it is more likely that this was not a random act of violence. The motive for the murder remains under investigation. Detectives are not ruling out any possibility, but will focus on who might have had a reason to harm Brockington. Brockington, 40, of the 11200 block of Sitting Bull Circle in Lusby, Md., had been employed at Suburban Hospital since August 2006.
