Gaithersburg is Sustainable Maryland Certified!

Congratulations to Gaithersburg on its recent Sustainable Maryland Certified award! Gaithersburg achieved certification for many initiatives, including educating it residents about sustainability issues at the earliest levels, as evidenced by their participation in the MD Green Schools Program. The City also has a robust watershed stewardship program, which recruits volunteers for water quality enhancement projects; hosts a popular Farmers Market downtown, and is a longtime Tree City USA community.
