Art Exhibit is Great ‘______scape’
ROCKVILLE — For VisArts’s latest Kaplan Gallery exhibit, “______scape”, artists got creative when filling in the blank. Features the work of John Adams, Sabine Carlson, Michael Farrell, Heidi Fowler, Lisa Kellner, Karey Kessler, Kim Manfredi, Steven Pearson, Rachel Sitkin, Theo Willis and Elena Volkova. 10th annual Art & Soul Charity Auction
SILVER SPRING — Fundraiser for Bethesda-based National Center for Children and Families. Live auction of artwork by artists in NCCF's Greentree Adolescent Program and Greentree Shelter. Hosted by ABC7/WJLA-TV News anchor Leon Harris with live jazz from Marcus Johnson. 7 to 11 p.m. Friday. Silver Spring Civic Building, 1 Veterans Place. Tickets cost $50. Cocktail attire. Free Flamenco Festival
NORTH BETHESDA — Free flamenco festival hosted by Centro Español de Washington D.C. Taste Spanish tapas and while you watch the flamenco dancers perform. Outdoors, noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Taste of Georgetown
WASHINGTON — With 30 Washington restaurants and 60 dishes to sample — it’s love at first bite. The 19th annual Taste of Georgetown is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Wisconsin Avenue and M Street NW. ‘Coppélia’ Concludes
