The city of Gaithersburg released the following news this week:

Habit-Forming Musical Nunsense A-Men! Takes Arts Barn Stage

In partnership with Rockville Musical Theatre, the Arts Barn presents the musical comedy Nunsense A-Men! The show runs April 5 through 21, 2013, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Admission is $18, $16 for City of Gaithersburg residents. This show contains adult language and parental guidance is suggested.

Described as “Mrs. Doubtfire enters the convent,” Nunsense A-Men! replaces the traditional female cast ofthe original Nunsense with men playing the Little Sisters of Hoboken. Besides the casting change, the script remains exactly the same. Sister Julia, the cook, accidentally poisons 52 of the sisters, leaving the remaining few to oversee their costly burial. The sisters get creative and put on a madcap talent show to raise money.

Discover Bargains at Gaithersburg Indoor Flea Market

Experience market shopping indoors as you peruse bargains galore and amazing treasures at the Gaithersburg Indoor Flea Market on Saturday, March 23, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enjoy shopping in the comfort and warmth of our indoor location at the Montgomery County Agricultural Center, 16 Chestnut Street in Building 6. For easiest access, use the Chestnut and Dalamar Street entrances. Admission to the Flea Market is free.

The city of Gaithersburg presents the 18th Annual Exhibition of Chinese Calligraphy and Brush Painting by the Harmonious Art Group from March 22 through May 19, 2013, at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park. Viewing hours are Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The public is invited to a free Artists’ Reception on Saturday, March 30 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Home Savers Offers Nonprofit Loan Program to Montgomery County Residents

Home Savers is an interest-free, micro-loan program intended to assist homeowners who are at risk of losing their homes due to HOA and condo fees or property tax default. This program is open to all residents of Montgomery County and is offered through Asian American Homeownership Counseling Inc.

Low to moderate income families residing in Montgomery County are eligible for this program. Property must be your primary residence and mortgage payment and escrow must be current except for seniors with reverse mortgage defaults. You must also prove ability to repay.
