Savvy Supermarket Shopping

With over 13,000 new products coming out each year, the grocery store can be a challenging place to navigate. Improve your supermarket savvy with this "virtual" grocery store tour with Manna nutritionist, Jenna Umbriac. We'll discuss how to fill your shopping cart with the most healthful and budget-friendly choices for you and your family. Includes information on:

  • how to read food labels and ingredient lists
  • how to spot "healthy" food that isn't
  • most nutritious picks in the produce, meat, and cereal aisles

We'll make a fun fall recipe and all participants will leave with some of the ingredients needed to make this menu item at home.

Registration is required for all nutrition classes as seating is limited. Please register by calling 301-424-1130 ext 35. Please leave your name, phone number, and the name and date of the class you are registering for so a spot can be reserved.
