Report: 'Largent’s Bar and Grille' to Fill Vacant Space in Kentlands

Matt Largent, an operating partner at Greene Turtle in Olney, plans to open the restaurant in August, The Gazette reports.

The long-vacant 44 Sports Bar and Grille location in the Kentlands has a new, long-term tenant.

Matt Largent, an operating partner at Greene Turtle in Olney, signed a 10-year lease Thursday on the 654 Center Point Way space, The Gazette reported.

Largent plans to completely renovate the space and open Largent’s Bar and Grille in August, according to the report.

Residents told Largent the location was "cursed," but Largent said, “When you walk in that place, you’re going to know that it’s different,” according to the report.

The restaurant will not be a sports bar, Largent told The Gazette. It will feature a family-oriented first floor with the main bar relocated to the second floor.
