Where to take your kids for some fun this weekend.

  • , February 25: Wear your PJ's to Color Me Mine and your studio fee is FREE!
  • , February 26: This year there is an added benefit of being able to showcase the work of our students under the tutelage of faculty mentors in the Student Excellence Expo program. The students will be able to meet with graduates from their own high schools and learn what they’ve been working on since graduation. This will be an excellent opportunity for students, parents and mentors to ask questions about programs at the College, and meet with faculty and current students. As in years past, application fee will be waived at this event.
  • , February 26: At Julius West Middle School, Rockville. $25 for 3 chances per game for 10 games to win great prizes!  Prizes are for all ages.  All of the proceeds from the purchase of games will go to Cancer Research.
  • , February 26: Come see The Great Zucchini, Washington's funniest and most magical preschool and kindergarten entertainer, as he performs a colorful magic show where every child is a star and guaranteed to laugh! Experience the excitement of the children when they get to learn a magic trick at the end of show!  Admission is $10 and helps a local toddler with serious feeding issues. 
  • Happy Birthday Elmo: February 26: Kids ages 3 to 6 will enjoy music, stories and crafts to celebrate Elmo's third birthday.  (Note: this is not a meet-the-character event). At the Borders in Milestone Shopping Center, Germantown at 2 pm.
  • , February 27, Daily: The City of Gaithersburg and the Harmonious Art Group present “Chinese Calligraphy and Brush Painting” at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, 506 South Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Exhibition dates are January 14 through March 13, 2011.  Viewing hours are Monday through Saturday from 8 am to 9 pm and Sunday from 8 am to 5 pm.
  • , Daily until March 4: The theme for this year's contest, to be explored in 275 words or less, is:  Working Together Works. One winning essay will be selected from each of the Maryland Municipal League's 11 regional districts.
  • Daily: This show is a juried exhibition of mixed media art by Montgomery County High School students based on the theme "SECRETS."
