Spiegel said he’d bring “important combination of legislative experience and leadership style to the Montgomery County Council,” according to an excerpt of his announcement posted at the local politics blog Maryland Juice (>>>See: GAITHERSBURG COUNCILMEMBER RYAN SPIEGEL TO RUN FOR MOCO COUNCIL DISTRICT 3 at MarylandJuice.com).

As Bethesda Magazine notes, Andrews’ decision to run for county executive creates an open seat for the Rockville/Gaithersburg-based district for the first time in three decades.
