7th ANNUAL TRADITIONAL AND NON-TRADITIONAL CAREERS SEMINAR AND COLLEGE FAIR

On Saturday, November 16, 2013, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Xi Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and Omicron Lambda Alpha Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, are co-sponsoring the Seventh Annual Traditional and Non-Traditional Careers Seminar and College Fair. The event will be held at Watkins Mill High School, 10301 Apple Ridge Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20879.

All students in the 6th through 12th grade are invited to attend this free seminar, which will provide panelists and exhibitors in over 25 career fields to help students make better decisions as they prepare to enter college. College admissions information and college paraphernalia will be available to the students in the form of a College Fair. Attendees must RSVP to Ms. J. In addition, the joint planning committee is seeking the community’s help in making this year’s activity a success. More than 100 high school, junior high school and middle school students are expected to attend this event. We are seeking professionals to serve as panelists or exhibitors as well as seeking colleges and universities to provide college admissions and/or college paraphernalia as giveaways. We are also soliciting businesses as event sponsors to provide giveaways to the students. If you are able to help with one or more of the above items, please contact Ms. S.
