Increase in UPS/package theft?

Has anyone noticed an increase in UPS/package theft in the past 3 months?  I have lived in a townhouse community close to downtown Gaithersburg for over 6 yrs and never had anything stolen…  suddenly everything we've had delivered is stolen from our doorstep by the time I get home from work.   I’ve started having packages delivered to work, but other than that, is there something I could do?  Thanks!
