Crime Summary: Indecent Exposures, Armed Robberies Reported in Gaithersburg

The following incidents were supplied by Montgomery County police for Gaithersburg and its surrounding region. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

A theft from vehicle was reported in the unit block Misty Dale Way in Gaithersburg sometime between 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16 and 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17. A laptop, cell phone and assorted tools were reported missing.

A theft from vehicle was reported in the unit block of School Drive in Gaithersburg on Saturday, Aug. 17, between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. A charger cord, audio cord, car keys, and perfume were reported missing.

A sex offense was reported in the unit block of Autumn Hill Way in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 12:37 p.m. Police said a male inappropriately touched the alleged victim.

A residential burglary was reported in the 400 block of Lakelands Drive in Gaithersburg on Thursday, Aug. 15, between 5 and 7:15 p.m. Property was taken from an open garage.

A theft from vehicle was reported in the 800 block of Quince Orchard Boulevard in Gaithersburg, between 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16 and 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17.

A theft from vehicle was reported in the 800 block of Diamond Drive in Gaithersburg on Saturday, Aug. 17, between 7:30 and 8 p.m. A purse was taken. 

A theft from vehicle was reported in the 400 block of Golden Ash Mews Alley in Gaithersburg, between 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14 and 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15 at 7:30 a.m. Curtains were taken.

Two vehicle thefts were reported in the 900 block of Clopper Road in Gaithersburg between 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12 and 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13.

A peeping tom incident was reported in the 700 block of Quince Orchard Road in Gaithersburg at around 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16 around 6 a.m.

An attempted armed robbery was reported in the area of the Transit Center, 9650 Lost Knife Circle in Montgomery Village on Sunday, Aug. 18 at 12:27 a.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and unsuccessfully attempted to remove property. Arrested: Male, 15, from Germantown; male, age 18, from Gaithersburg

A strong-armed robbery was reported in front of Sears, 701 Russell Avenue in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 2:46 a.m. Police said for males were involved.

A strong-armed robbery was reported at the intersection of Montgomery Village Avenue and Centerway Road in Montgomery Village on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 2:09 a.m.

An aggravated assault was reported at the intersection of Montgomery Village Avenue and Stewartown Road in Montgomery Village at around 11:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16. Police said the people involved knew each other. Arrested: Female, 21, from Germantown; female, 20, from Gaithersburg

An aggravated assault was reported at the 7-Eleven, 9051 Snouffer School Road in Montgomery Village, at around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14. Police said two males were involved.

An attempted residential burglary was reported in the 9400 block of Gentle Circle in Gaithersburg on Wednesday, Aug. 14, between 8:40 a.m. and 5:10 p.m. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

A theft from vehicle was reported in the 19900 block of Spur Hill Drive in Montgomery Village, between Monday, Aug. 12 at 5 p.m. and Tuesday, Aug. 13 at 9 a.m. A GPS, laptop, and power tools were taken.

A theft from vehicle was reported in the 1200 block of Knoll Mist Lane in Gaithersburg on Thursday, Aug. 15 around 4:55 a.m.

A theft from vehicle was reported in the 9900 block of Forest View Place in Montgomery Village on Tuesday, Aug. 13 at around 6:50 a.m. The victim’s key was taken from the vehicle. 

A theft from vehicle was reported in the 8800 block of Warfield Road in Gaithersburg, between 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18 and 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19. Cash was taken.

Three thefts from vehicles were reported overnight between Saturday, Aug. 17 and Sunday, Aug. 18. In two of the incidents doors were left unlocked. Property taken included an iPod charger and vehicle parts. Incidents were reported on Mill Creek Drive, Dew Wood Drive and Airpark Road in Gaithersburg. 

An indecent exposure was reported in the 300 block of Washington Grove Lane in Gaithersburg at around 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17. Police are looking for a black male with buck teeth, between 19 and 24 years old, and 6-feet 1-inches to 6-feet 3-inches tall.
