Gaithersburg Crime: 3 Frederick Avenue Businesses Burgled Jan. 5 and More

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Montgomery County police released a crime summary for Dec. 31 through Jan. 8. The following incidents were reported in Gaithersburg:

  • A theft from vehicle occurred on Monday, Dec. 31, between 3:45 a.m. and 10:59 a.m. in the 100 block of Water Street
  • A theft from vehicle occurred on Tuesday, Jan. 1, between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. in the 100 block of Appleblossom Way
  • A theft from vehicle occurred between Monday, Dec. 31, at 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Jan. 1, at 1 p.m. in the 9900 block of Shelburne Terrace.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 19800 block of Wheelwright Drive on Thursday, Jan. 3, between 5 p.m. and 8:10 p.m. Entry to the home was forced and property was taken.
  • An armed robbery occurred in the 8900 block of Spring Berry Court on Friday, Jan. 4, around 8 p.m. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.
  • A commercial burglary occurred on Saturday, Jan. 5, at 3:20 a.m. at Ay Jalisco, located at 425 South Frederick Avenue. Entry to the restaurant was forced and property was taken.
  • A commercial burglary occurred on Saturday, Jan. 5, at the Dock of the Bay Beer & Wine Store, located at 429 South Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg. Entry to the store was forced and property was taken.
  • A commercial burglary occurred Saturday, Jan. 5, at 11:40 p.m. at the Burma Road restaurant, located at 617 South Frederick Avenue. Entry to the restaurant was forced and property taken.
  • An armed robbery occurred in the 18400 block of Lost Knife Circle on Sunday, Jan. 6, just after 11 p.m. The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.
