Gaithersburg Crime: Shady Grove Metro Assault, Multiple Vehicle Incidents and More

The following information was provided by the Montgomery County Police Department. Arrests or charges do not indicate a conviction.

Montgomery County police released a crime summary for March 11 through March 19. The following incidents were reported in Gaithersburg:

  • Two thefts from vehicles occurred in the 300 block of Fleece Flower Drive between 9 p.m. on Monday, March 11, and 6:50 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12. Two vehicles in a driveway were entered by unknown means. Nothing was taken.
  • An aggravated assault occurred on a Ride-On bus approaching the Shady Grove Metro Station on Wednesday, March 13, at midnight. An adult male victim was assaulted by the suspect.
  • A strong-arm robbery occurred around Lake Whetstone on Montgomery Village Avenue in Montgomery Village on Thursday, March 14, around 10:50 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and removed property.
  • An attempted armed robbery occurred at Watkins Mill Road and Club Lake Road in Montgomery Village on Thursday, March 14, around 11 p.m. The suspect is known to the victim.
  • An aggravated assault occurred at Mickey's Restaurant, located at 18204 Contour Road in Montgomery Village, on Sunday, March 17, around 1:40 p.m. The suspect is known to the victim.
  • Between Sunday, March 17, and Monday, March 18, a theft from vehicle and a stolen vehicle occurred on Greenside Terrace:
    • 19700 block of Greenside Terrace—cash and coins taken from an unlocked vehicle
    • 19800 block of Greenside Terrace—vehicle stolen
