Two Gaithersburg men and another man of no fixed address were arrested this week for their parts in separate incidents Monday and Tuesday, according to Gaithersburg police.
Aubrey A. Henry, 20, of the 200 block of Lee Street in Gaithersburg, and 19-year-old Savoy Antonio Tuckson were arrested and charged with attempted strong arm robbery stemming from an incident at 8:52 p.m. in the 300 block of North Summit Avenue, Public Information Officer Dan Lane told Patch.
Henry and Tuckson demanded money from the victim, who fled, but was later caught by the duo. The pair obtained nothing and were caught approximately 10 minutes after the original call at the intersection of North Summit and Brookes Avenue.
Tuesday evening Gaithersburg police arrested Rogelio Velasguez-Hernandez, of the 17000 block of Larchmont Terrace in Gaithersburg, and charged him with aggravated assault.
Police responded to a 7:42 p.m. call at Lakeforest Mall, located at 701 Russell Avenue, Lane said, adding the 40-year-old had been in an earlier dispute with an unknown individual and returned to confront that person. Upon his return, Velasguez-Hernandez confronted a different person, the victim, physically assaulting the individual and brandishing a knife.
Upon arrival, Velasguez-Hernandez was still on scene and was placed under arrest, Lane said.
