Lakelands Community Entrance Damaged In Weekend Car Crash

'A Mustang left the roadway for an unknown reason and collided with the retaining wall,' Gaithersburg police told Montgomery County Media.

A car crash early Saturday morning damaged the stone monument marker at the entrance to the Lakelands community in Gaithersburg, according to a report by Montgomery Community Media.

“A Mustang left the roadway for an unknown reason and collided with the retaining wall,” Gaithersburg police officer Dan Lane said, according to the report.

The driver, who was not injured, is a 31-year-old Gaithersburg man. He was charged with driving under the influence, the report said.
