Montgomery County Police: Attempted Robbery at CVS, Indecent Exposure Arrest Made in Gaithersburg

The following information was provided by Montgomery County police for Gaithersburg and Montgomery Village. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 100 block of Duvall Lane in Gaithersburg on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 3 a.m.

A residential burglary occurred in the 400 block of West Diamond Avenue in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 6:15 p.m. No further information is available at this time.

Two thefts from vehicles occurred during this reporting period. In both events entry was by force and a purse was taken in one incident. Streets affected included: Muddy Branch Road and Washingtonian Boulevard in Gaithersburg.

An aggravated assault occurred at Robertson Park, 801 Rabbit Road in Gaithersburg on Monday, Jan. 13 at 5:36 p.m. Police said the victims were threatened with a weapon.

A residential burglary occurred in the 100 block of Chestnut Street in Gaithersburg on Monday, Jan. 13 at 8:16 a.m. Forced entry; unknown if anything was taken.

Three thefts from vehicles were reported occurring at different locations at the LA Fitness on Quince Orchard Road, My Gym on Centerpoint Way, and Little Quarry Road in Gaithersburg. In the first two events entry was forced. Purses were taken from both of those vehicles. In the last event there was no forced entry and nothing was taken.

An indecent exposure occurred in the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle in Gaithersburg on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 6:40 p.m. Police said a man urinated outside in front of numerous onlookers. Arrested: Male, 33, from Germantown

An attempted armed robbery occurred at the CVS at 9140 Rothbury Drive in Montgomery Village at around 9:31 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14. Police said two males threatened the victim with a weapon and unsuccessfully attempted to obtain property.

Four thefts from vehicles occurred in the Aspenwood Lane, Bell Bluff Court, Falling Rivers Drive and Travis View Court in Gaithersburg areas. No force was observed in any of these events. Cash was taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the unit block of Caddy Court in Derwood on Monday, Jan. 13 at 3:28 a.m. Forced entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 18200 block of Mulberry Court in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, Jan. 14, between 6 and 9 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 7700 block of Ivy Oak Drive in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, Jan. 14 between 10 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 200 block of Washington Grove Lane in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, Jan. 14 between 6:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. No forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the unit block of Dunwich Manor Place in Gaithersburg on Wednesday, Jan. 8 between 8:30 a.m. and 9:04 p.m. Forced entry; property taken. 

Seven people were arrested in a residential burglary reported in the hundred block of Cross Country Court in Gaithersburg on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 11:29 p.m. Unknown entry; unknown what was taken.
