School Bus Collides With Car, One Injured

No students were inured.

A Montgomery County Schools bus collided with a car this afternoon, injuring one, police said.

Shortly after 4 p.m., the MCPS bus collided with a passenger vehicle at the intersection of Muddy Branch Road and W. Diamond Ave, a police spokesperson said.

She could not confirm if there were students on the bus at the time of the collision, but said she could confirm no students were injured.

One adult, either the driver or a passenger in the other vehicle, complained of pain and was transported to a local hospital, she said.

As the car was being towed, it appeared to have sustained heavy damage. A bus on the scene had only minor scuff marks to the front bumper.
