Twelve-Year-Old, Other Teens Arrested for Strong-Armed Robberies

P1 Beat:

• A strong arm robbery occurred in the area of Rio Mall, 9810 Washingtonian Blvd in Gaithersburg on Friday, 5/13 at 10:30 p.m.  The victims were assaulted and had property taken.   

Arrested: Juvenile M, 12 years old of Montgomery Village

• A strong-arm robbery occurred at the 7-11, 9900 Key West Avenue in Rockville on Monday, 5/16 around 12:20 a.m.  The suspect chased the victims then obtained property.

P2 Beat:

• A strong-arm robbery occurred along a path adjacent to Polk Court in Gaithersburg on Monday, 5/16 around 5:30 p.m.  The juvenile victim was assaulted and had property taken. 

• An aggravated assault occurred after a traffic stop on Quince Orchard Road at the 270 exit on Tuesday 5/17 around 1:30 a.m.  The passenger was arrested for violating a protection order and possession of a handgun.

R1 Beat:

• An aggravated assault occurred on Whetstone Drive in Gaithersburg on Sunday, 5/15 and was between known parties.  The suspect assaulted the victim and was arrested. 

Arrested: M, age 60 of Gaithersburg

• A theft of two motorcycles occurred from the parking lot of 18700 Walkers Choice Road in Montgomery Village on Wednesday, 5/11 between 1:40 - 2:10 am. 

Suspect:   W/M 5’5” to 5’6”, 150, black leather jacket

R2 Beat:

• A strong-arm robbery occurred at Merust Lane and Stewartown Road in Gaithersburg on Wednesday, 5/11 around 9:15 p.m.  The adult male victim threatened and had property taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 19400 block of Thomas Farm Road in Montgomery Village on Friday, 5/13.  Forced entry, property taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 10100 block of Watkins Mill Road in Gaithersburg on Friday, 5/13.  Suspects forced entry, property taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 9600 block of Shadow Oak Drive in Montgomery Village on Monday, 5/16.  Forced entry, property taken.

S1 Beat:

• A strong arm robbery occurred to the rear of Gaithersburg Elementary School, 35 South Summit Avenue in Gaithersburg on Wednesday, 5/11 around 3:30 p.m.   

• A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 400 block of Girard Street in Gaithersburg on Thursday, 5/12 around 3 p.m.  Three suspects obtained property from the victim, then fled.

• An aggravated assault occurred in the apartment stairwell on North Summit Drive in Gaithersburg on Sunday, 5/15.  The adult male victim was assaulted by a known suspect.  Investigation is ongoing.
