Public Hearing Regarding Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission Disparity Study

The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) is now accepting comments about a Disparity Study conducted on its behalf by an independent consulting company determining that a statistically significant underutilization of women and minority-owned business enterprises existed in the awarding of WSSC prime contracts between FY04-Fy09 in four broad contracting areas - Construction, Architecture and Engineering, Goods and Services and Professional Services.

A community meeting to discuss the Study and to update progress on development of the new proposed MBE Program will be held at WSSC headquarters at the address above on:

WSSC staff will use the study and public comments to develop an effective new MBE Program that is legally sufficient. The draft of the new program will be released to the public in mid-February.
