Water Safety Day

The City of Gaithersburg is partnering with the City of Rockville and Montgomery County to present Water Safety Awareness Day.

"The free event will feature demonstrations on how to assist someone who may be struggling in the water, skills assessments for appropriate placement in the various swim lessons offered by Gaithersburg, Rockville and Montgomery County Recreation Departments, selection and fit of personal flotation devices, sun safety strategies, and much more. At safety stations positioned around the facility, participants can receive a stamp on a “safety passport.”  Those with five or more stamps will qualify for a free one-day swim pass at any Gaithersburg, Rockville or Montgomery County public pool."
