“i” Shooters Presents: Creating Photo Art Magic with the Apple iPhone

Unleash your creative power in this one-day, hands-on workshop, packed with top tips and iPhone camera resources

 

Addressing the exploding interest in the the Apple iPhone’s powerful, creative photo capabilities, “i” Shooters and The Mobile Mind is sponsoring a one-day workshop offering instruction on the improved range of available software and tools developed to produce high quality creative images. Hype surrounding Apple’s recently released iPhone 4s seems well deserved, due to serious re engineering devoted to improving the iconic brand’s camera functionality and optics.

No experience is necessary—just bring your iPhone (4 and 4s) and creative juice—(participants may want to download about $20.00 in apps during the workshop). Due to high demand for this workshop, early registration is advised. Seating is limited.

Developed to meet the interests of professional photographers, artists, serious photo enthusiasts and hobbyists alike, workshop topics will cover camera functionality, utilities, imaging applications (apps), image processing, image organization, composition and techniques to help develop the “creative eye.” Mac Business Solutions will complete the "picture" from the print perspective by demonstrating Epson printers and inks. Attendees may select an image produced during class that will be printed on an Epson Stylus Professional Printer using Epson Luster Photo Paper 260.  

Karen L. Messick, a Baltimore, Md.-based photographer, instructor and published author will lead the workshop.  Messick, a 16-year veteran in the photographic field, is renowned for her striking color sense, design and photocomposition. A pioneer in the emerging field of iPhoneography, she served as president of the Baltimore Camera club from 2006-2010.

About Karen L. Messick 

Award winning photographer, Karen L. Messick’s instructional articles and portfolio pieces have been published in Nature Photographer Magazine and iPhonelife Magazine and is a current field contributor to Nature Photographer Magazine. As instructor, Messick leads workshops and classes in digital photography at Johns Hopkins University’s Odyssey Program and is a popular lecturer and field workshop leader for Washington D.C.s Penn Camera.
