@Sm Potatoes - GO VOTE! Hoping for a great election day!

First things first....polls are open until 8pm.  Make sure you go vote!

If you want my opinions on the ballot, feel free to click here.  But I won't be offended if you couldn't care less about how I'm voting, as long as you vote, too.  

One of my big hopes is that this election isn't riddled with fraud a la Bush vs. Gore.  Although, I don't hold out hope for a fraud-free day, even in the local races and ballot questions, considering the MD State BOE "inadvertently" left off the 2nd page of thousands of absentee ballots, and then sent over 5,000 voters TWO absentee ballots, even after some (2-page ballots, not even the ones with missing pages!) were already completed and sent back.  Ugh.   Not to mention, how are the gajillions of people in NY and NJ still without power, and still recovering from loss of life and property going to vote in earnest?  Sigh.  America is unfortunately being set up for lots of drawn-out contests to be decided in the courts.  What do you think?

On the local level, thank goodness the City isn't in charge of conducting this election.  I'm still not convinced that last year's city election was conducted fraud-free, and I'm worried for next year.  The incumbents wrote the rules to skirt them, and the corrupted (now fired) city manager appointed by the incumbents was in the room when the votes were counted, as was the dirty small potato Snyder Katz.  Not to mention, the votes just didn't add up - it felt fishy.  I still think the real ballots are buried in Angel Jones's or Katz's garage someplace.  Yep - I said it.  Others are thinking it.  Next year, Gaithersburg needs to take a cue from Rockville and put the Police in charge of the polls and delivering the ballots instead of the BOE.
