Treat Your Pet to an Ice Cream Treat on National Dog Day

Gaithersburg's Best Friends Pet Care will give away a free doggy ice cream treat to every dog who visits on Saturday, Aug. 25.

Man's best friend deserves of day of his (or her) own. As part of Saturday's National Dog Day, one Gaithersburg business is offering to sweeten the pot.

Best Friends Pet Care, located at 395 Muddy Branch Road, will give away a free doggy ice cream treat to every dog that visits the store Saturday. The treats are dog-safe, made of yogurt or soy with dog-preferred flavors like peanut butter and honey.

“National Dog Day is a day to honor the dogs in our lives,” Best Friends manager Anja Aleshin said. “So we’re inviting all dogs — whether Best Friends clients or not — to stop in between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. for a free doggy ice cream.”
