Community Forum | Meet with Montgomery County Councilman in Montgomery Village Wednesday
Montgomery County Council Vice President Craig Rice will meet with residents 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Watkins Mill Hill School. Rice is expected to give updates on are the future of the Montgomery Village golf course, the planned northward extension of Mid-County Highway (the M83 project), the cleanup of Lake Whetstone and the increased attention to crime prevention. 

On the Agenda: Rockville | Jehovah’s Witnesses property, Good Neighbor Awards
Rockville City Council meets 7 p.m. Mondays at Rockville City Hall. Tonight, an ordinance will go before the Mayor and Council that would give a historic designate to a West End property owned by a Jehovah’s Witnesses congregation—a designation the congregation doesn’t want. Final action isn’t expected until Oct. 28. The council will also present certificates to this year’s 2013 Good Neighbor Award recipients. >>> Agenda: RockvilleMD.gov

Building Dedication | Archbishop of Washington, County Executive to attend Victory Court dedication
Archbishop of Washington Donald Cardinal Wuerl and Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett, and other community leaders will lead a dedication ceremony 10 a.m. Thursday for Victory Court, a mixed-income senior community at 209 Monroe St., in downtown Rockville. 

Events | PIKEtoberfest at Pike & Rose
Music, wine tasting, pumpkin painting, more. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Pike & Rose, at the corner of Old Georgetown Road and Rockville Pike in the White Flint district.
